There is a long tradition of dog walking at Abbey Fields; for some there is no better way to take in the beauty of these sites. We welcome well-behaved dogs. It is important that dog walkers recognise the different characteristics of Long Meadow and Croft Close Set-aside, and are respectful of other users.

There are dog-waste bins near the entrances to both sites. There is one at the end of Gun’s Lane for Croft Close Set-aside. At Long Meadow there are bins opposite St Audrey’s Close and where Park Lane turns towards the Guided Busway and the bridleway to Westwick starts. We know most of our dog walkers clean up after their dog. We are also grateful to those who clean up after other peoples’ dogs. Thank you!
