Fundraising for us

There are several interesting ways that you could help raise funds for local charity Histon & Impington Green Spaces, the charity behind the Abbey Fields project , which is seeking to preserve biodiversity in the parishes of Histon & Impington.

Sponsored challenge or fundraising event

Take on a sponsorship challenge or raise money by hosting an event or stall. Have a wildlife goal, a coffee morning or a bring and buy sale

Or something to enthuse the kids. Perhaps set them a challenge for which they can collect sponsorship. Maybe for example around the number 10 – this is the number of red listed species on the land.

Workplace fundraising

Histon & Impington Green Spaces charity is registered with two bodies that make it easy for employees to make donations:

Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) workplace scheme makes it possible to support the charity’s activities in several ways including through the Give as you Earn (GAYE) scheme. Speak to your employers and find us here.

Benevity. This allows, for example, employers to match employee donations so doubling the gifted amount. Speak to your employer to see if they are registered with Benevity and find us here

Some employers identify local charities to support or even become their ‘charity of the year’. Perhaps your employer might be interested! Let us know at hello@abbeyfields.online

Some employers encourage volunteering by allowing some days a year for good causes – see the section on volunteering
