Hedge Planting at Long Meadow
Many thanks from the HIGS team to all those who turned out and participated in planting of the new hedge on the Park Lane boundary of Long Meadow, Histon - we hope you enjoyed yourselves and found the experience rewarding - especially for the children.
Of course, many thanks to all the volunteers too! A lot of hard work and the hot drinks were very much appreciated!
With the subsequent work party a couple of days later, this section of the hedge is now all in place. We have learnt a lot which will help as we tackle further degraded sections in the future. It will be really interesting to see how this first section develops over the next few years.
