Bird song guided walk at Croft Close Set-aside

  • Croft Close Set-aside Croft Close Cambridge, England, CB24 9HU United Kingdom (map)

May is one of the best months to get out and enjoy nature, particularly bird song! (Sunday 5th May is actually International Bird Song Day.) This guided walk led by a birding enthusiast will be all about enjoying the early morning bird song, and seeing a summer migrant or two as a bonus.

If you are interested in using one of the identification apps on your phone we recommend Merlin. If you download Merlin you want their ‘Sound ID’ and to select the UK pack Your guide can give some advice on how to use it!

The walk is open to all. Whilst participants need to be able to walk over uneven ground we will be proceeding slowly to allow those less sure on their feet to join in.

We start at the Croft Close entrance to the Set-aside (CB24 9HU). Croft Close is a residential street so please respect our neighbours - as this is early come and leave quietly. Regrettably, there is no car parking here.

To attend the guided walk please register interest by emailing sitemanagers@abbeyfields.online. (If there is high demand, numbers may have to be limited.)

There is no charge for the walk but donations will be taken o the day (alternatively see https://www.higreenspaces.org/donate).
