Butterflies of Cambridgeshire talk by Edward Pollard

  • Cambridge Music Centre (old Infant School) New School Road, Histon, CB24 9LL (map)

Edward Pollard is the county butterfly recorder for Cambridgeshire. He is a conservation biologist who has lived in Cambridge for the last 10 years. Prior to that he spent 15 years in Southeast Asia supporting rainforest conservation. In his role as recorder Edward collates butterfly records submitted by the public and supports conservation activities county-wide. He is on the committee of the Cambridgeshire & Essex branch of Butterfly Conservation.

Edward will tell us about the disparate fortunes of different butterfly species locally. He will also give us some advice about what individuals can do to help our butterflies (and other wildlife).

So come and join us to find out how your favourite butterflies are doing.
