Guided walk at Croft Close Set-aside

  • Croft Close Set Aside (map)

Trees of the Croft Close Set-Aside, from tiny saplings to ancient veterans.

Daphne Fisher, who has a passionate interest in trees and is one of the HIGS Trustees, will describe the remarkable transformation of the once agricultural field and its historical field boundaries, which include two magnificent trees of great age.

The walk is open to all. We hope the start time will suit those who wish to come along after the school pick-up.

Please: no unaccompanied children.

Whilst participants need to be able to walk over uneven ground we will be proceeding slowly to allow those less sure on their feet to join in.

To attend the guided walk please register interest by emailing sitemanagers@abbeyfields.online . (If there is high demand numbers may have to be limited.)

The walk will start at the gate at the end of Croft Close. Croft Close is a residential street so please respect our neighbours – come and leave quietly. Regrettably, there is no car parking here.

We will not be charging for this event, but if you would like to make a donation as a token of appreciation, or just to help us complete the purchase of these special places, please visit our website or JustGiving . We would also be very happy to accept cash donations on the day.
