As a result of the summer drought our two ponds at Croft Close Set-aside have dried up. While they remain dry we have an excellent opportunity to carry out some improvement works. Please meet at the Croft Close entrance to the Set-aside.
Each session will last 2 hours. (There may be an opportunity for any enthusiastic volunteers to do more!)

These work parties will cover a mix of ‘light’ general habitat maintenance and ‘heavier manual’ pond work so they are suitable for a range of interests. Please come appropriately dressed: stout footwear and heavy-duty gardening gloves are a must. If you have them, please bring with you: secateurs, loppers, a garden fork and/or garden spade as we have limited tools available. Although these sessions are not aimed at families, older children / young adults are welcome but must be under parental supervision at all times.
