Commemorative Tree Planting Ceremony on Long Meadow

This coming Saturday is an opportunity for Abbey Fields supporters and neighbours to meet and celebrate. We are pleased to be able to offer free warm alcoholic and non-alcoholic mulled wine, soft drinks and a few small cake bites.

Kick off is at 12 noon. Then at 12.30 a few words from our chair, Robert Bensted-Smith. This is to be followed by tree planting of a sapling by Caroline Chivers and children attending the event. The sapling is a descendent of the 450 year old oak on Croft Close Set-aside.

More details of the event can be found here, with a report on the event here.
