With hedge planting approaching – a planting event will be held in early December as soon as whips are available - we need to complete the preparation of the ground ready for planting. There will be three dedicated work parties at Long Meadow:

·       Friday 24th October, at 10:30am

·       Wednesday 29th October, at 2pm

·       Friday 21st November, at 2pm.

These will all involve grubbing out of bramble and digging over the soil ready to plant into.

We may also be doing some bramble clearance near our new avenue trees to ensure that the area around each barrier is fully accessible.

We start by the fence at the village end of Long Meadow.

Please come dressed for the weather, with stout footwear and gloves.
