We are supporting the Orchard Breakfast with a HIGS stall at the Community Orchard.
We will be featuring our Connecting with Nature activities and hoping to talk to lots of people about what they know about nature in the villages and their suggestions for what might be done to improve things. You can find out more about this initiative and add your thoughts via out website here.
We will have two activities for families. We are in the Community Orchard so we will be focusing on meadow plants and their pollinators. Come and ‘make a meadow’ or plant up and take away a pollinator friendly plant.
The adjacent Histon Wood (aka the WI Wood) has a problem with invasive holm oak saplings. Find out what the problem is and what needs doing to improve things. Perhaps you could help next winter?
We look forward to chatting about the state of local wildlife and things that could/should be done to improve things!
