Would you like to be able to tell an ash from a rowan, and an oak from a field maple this Summer? Come to our beginners’ workshop and learn to identify about 7 common tree species, while finding out what to look for if you want to learn more. The trees we will identify are all rooted to the spot at Croft Close Nature Reserve, so you can come back and refresh your memory any time! Check out the trees through the year to see their bark and buds, flowers and fruits.
Participants need to be able to walk over uneven ground (but not necessarily fast – let us know if you have mobility or other issues). Suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Please register by e-mailing Daphne Fisher at sitemanagers@abbeyfields.online. Numbers are limited.
There is no charge for the workshop, but donations to Histon & Impington Green Spaces will be taken on the day (in cash, or via the website here).
